It's Parent Appreciation Week!
Do something nice for your parents today!
We will no longer be taking letter grades. Wahoo! We will continue to post learning opportunities Monday- Thursday, however, nothing will be given a letter grade. All students will receive a "P" for each academic area on the report card signifying "passing". All students (in our classes) will be promoted to 6th grade.
Refund checks have been cut and can be picked up this Wednesday or Thursday. Please follow the directions on the flyer below. One check has been issued per student for what was not used for 5th grade dues, any ASP balance left after March 13, and any chaperone payment.
5th grade dues were $75.
The 5th grade dues refund is $61.44.
Our Big Pie/Zoyo field trip was $4.56.
The 5th grade T-shirt was $9.
If you paid a different amount your refund will be calculated accordingly.
Chaperone payment will be refunded in whole amount.

Writing- Share your second Memoir with your teacher on Office 365. Make sure it has:
1. Commas highlighted in yellow (grade)
2. Figurative Language highlighted in green. (grade)
3. Paper has an introduction with a theme about you (Example: First impressions aren’t always correct), 1-2 short narrative stories that prove this theme in your life, and a conclusion (what have you learned about yourself and this theme) (grade)
**TODAY: For our Publishing Party you may read your first or second memoir. Practice reading your memoir smoothly and with expression. Zoom Publishing Party TODAY at 10am. Dress up if you like! If you can’t make the Zoom Party, please share on Flipgrid: “Publishing Party”. You must present your paper on Zoom or Flipgrid (grade)**

Social Studies- Log into Clever. Go to Studies Weekly. Click on the last newspaper (purple 5th grade). Go to week 30. Notice that there are videos for many of the articles if you want to watch those. They are super short.
Read Trouble and Tragedy and answer the 3 questions under the article.
